At the beginning of the year we carried out a survey asking how many of you would forgo your medal and plant a tree instead and after many of you said that they would, we made this option available on our registration form.
Fifty-four participants of the Northstowe Festival of Running 2022 asked us to plant a tree on their behalf and so we doubled this number and planted 108 trees on their behalf!

An additional option.
For those who want to receive a medal – we know how much you love our sustainable wooden medals – but also want to join the #RunNorthstowe team and plant trees with us, we’re adding this option to our registration flow. From now on you’ll be able to select the number of trees you want to plant and add them to your registration.
More Trees 🌳
Each runner of the Northstowe Day Run [read here] and the Northstowe Family Mile planted a tree too.
We teamed up with Earth Runs and not only did each runner finishing the race received a unique biodegradable seeded medal that can be planted to grow wildflowers but Earth Runs planted a tree for every medal sold and look what you’ve done!
