The event will be taking place on Saturday 31st of August 2024.
Race information will not be posted to you in hard copy format. This will be the place where all the key information will be published nearer to the event date. Make sure to follow us on Social Media as well as to sign up for the newsletter to receive the latest information and updates.
ENTRY INFORMATION AND REQUIREMENTS
HOW DO I ENTER?
All entries are managed via the Race Roster online registering service. Please visit here to sign up and enter one of our races.
WHAT IS THE MINIMUM AGE TO ENTER?
The minimum age for each event on or before the race day is as follows:
17 years old for the Northstowe Half Marathon
15 years old for the Northstowe 10K
11 years old for the Northstowe 5K
No age limits for the Family Mile
Children under 9 years old must be accompanied on the course by an adult.
All entries for under-18s need to be completed by an adult on their behalf. Please select the ‘Someone Else’ option.
CAN I TAKE PART AS A WHEELCHAIR ATHLETE?
Non-racing wheelchair users are welcome to take part in the Northstowe Festival of Running 2024, however, we do not recommend taking part in the Northstowe Half Marathon due to the nature of the course. If you wish to enter in a non-racing wheelchair, you will start at the rear of the wave for carefully considered health & safety reasons associated with the course terrain and density of runners in sections of the race. CAN I RUN WITH THE DOG?
Animals will not be permitted on the Northstowe Festival of Running courses. We are unable to allow guide dogs on the course but can offer a free place to guide runners. We can also assist in finding a guide runner if required. Please contact us at info@northstowerunfest.co.uk if you have any questions or require further assistance.
CAN I RUN WITH MY CHILD IN A BUGGY?
You can run with the buggy in the Family Mile run.
Running with the buggy is not permitted in other races. Bikes, stilts, roller skates, skateboards etc. are not allowed in any race.
PRE- RACE INFORMATION
CAN I TRANSFER MY PLACE TO SOMEONE ELSE?
You can transfer your place to someone else until the 18th of August. Any such transfer will be made by us re-registering the entry in the name of the alternative runner who will be required to accept the terms and conditions of entry before the transfer is completed. Transfers are not possible unless we receive your written request before 5 pm on the 18th of August 2023. Please email the request to info@northstowerunfest.co.uk
You must not under any circumstances give your race number to anyone else. Amongst other potential problems, doing so may cause problems of identification for the event medical services in the case of an accident or injury. Any attempt to do so will result in immediate disqualification of the individual(s) concerned and ejection from future events.
CAN I WITHDRAW AND GET A REFUND?
You can withdraw until 5 weeks before the event to receive a partial refund. You will receive your entry fee, minus a £10 cancellation fee. After this date, there can be no refunds. If you need to withdraw please email info@northstowerunfest.co.uk as all withdrawals must be made in writing.
All participants will have an opportunity to purchase during the registration process an additional protection policy provided by RegShield to get a full refund if they’re not able to attend the event due to unforeseen circumstances. Learn more.
CAN I USE HEADPHONES WHILE RUNNING?
The only use of bone-conduction headphones is permitted. For safety reasons, you must be aware of the surroundings and be able to hear safety instructions given by course marshals or emergency services.
HOW CAN I FIND THE EVENT VENUE?
The event venue is located at the Western Park Playing Fields, Kingfisher Cl, Northstowe, CB24 1BZ.

HOW DO I GET MY RACE PACK?
Race numbers will be available to pick up on the day of the race from our registration point located within the Race HQ marquee.
