Event organisers successfully applied for and have been granted permission by Cambridgeshire County Council (Ref: EVENTS/2026/214) to place Stop/Go Boards upon the public highway between 09.00 and 16.00 on Saturday 29th of August to facilitate the safe operation of traffic management for the Northstowe Half Marathon, Northstowe 10K and Northstowe 5K races.
To provide a safe passage for runners, the traffic will be stopped (except for blue lights) at the following road crossings while runners are crossing the road:
- Rampton Road
- St Michaels
- Wellington Road
- Sterling Road – North
- Sterling Road – South
- Northstowe Avenue South (crossing with Longstanton Road Bridleway)
The following residential roads: St Michaels Lane, St Michaels, Wilson’s Road, The Drift and Longstanton Road will remain open to traffic. Please be aware of runners on the side of the road.

We recommend the following diversion to avoid restrictions in the busiest area
